Dorothy L Fandel

She was born Sept. 4, 1920 in Metamora, IL to William and Pearl (Wieland) Fandel. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother who raised her from the age of 7, Thelma Fandel; and 2 brothers, William and Donald Fandel.

Surviving are 3 sisters, Caroline Woodmancy of Pekin, Linda Fandel of Cambridge, Mass., Joyce Johnson of Mulberry, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a WWII Navy Veteran, and lived her life as a true patriot for her country. She worked for Texaco Inc. until retirement. She was of the Catholic Faith.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour before services at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
