

She was born June 17, 1909 in Derby, Iowa to Ralph and Anna Bond Throckmorton. She married William Blue on April 5, 1931, and moved to the Peoria area in 1932.
Surviving are three daughters: Patricia (Art) Kloser of Lees Summit, MO, Beverly (Larry) Bayless of Palos Heights, IL, Diana (Woody) Gross of Ocean Pines, MD; ten grandchildren: Mark Kloser, Wendy Buffer, Kelly Angotti, Jeff Kloser, Chris Bayless, Curt Bayless, Stephen Blue, Todd Neaveill, Matt Neaveill, and Jennifer Broyles; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Louis, two brothers, and two sisters.
Mosselle was educated in Iowa, where she began her teaching career in a one-room school in 1928. She taught first grade for many years in Creve Coeur, retiring in 1973.
She was a fifty year member of the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, and a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was active in the East Peoria Women’s Club and she was a 4-H leader for many years.
Mosselle’s optimism, spirituality, kindness, and sense of humor were the keys to her longevity.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria. The Rev. Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
