George Allen Tobin

He was preceded in death by his wife Willie Tobin, granddaughter Taylor Greenstreet, Parents Thomas Tobin and Wanda Dennis, brothers Robert Tobin and Thomas Tobin, and niece Barbara Tobin.

George is survived by his daughter Theresa (Chester) Walters, granddaughter Maelynn Greenstreet, grandson Kevin Greenstreet, great-granddaughter Emmerson Bella Rose, great-grandson Hunter George Allen, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

George worked as a police officer for a number of years. He was also enlisted in the Marines and the Air Force: 182nd Security Forces Squadron. In the town of Washington Il he was a member of the Fire and Rescue Squad, the Washington Police Department as well as the Washington City Council.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a church going man and made many friends there. He loved spending time with his friends(employees) at Red Lobster in Peoria who he considered as part of his additional family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 13, at 5-7 PM, Service will be held on Thursday May 14, at 10 AM with burial to follow at Fondulac cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association as well as Children's St. Jude at OSF in Peoria IL.
