Gerald Floyd Manuel

Gerald Floyd Manuel passed on November 1, 2026, at the age of 72. Born November 7, 1953 in Paragould, Arkansas to Thomas and Gracie (Grimes) Manuel, Gerald lived in East Peoria, Illinois. He met his beloved wife Deborah on his birthday 54 years ago and they were married on March 3 of 1973.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Gracie Manuel, his sisters Susie, Margaret, and Barbara, as well as his brothers George, Johnny, and Thomas.

Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Deborah, children Christy Robison, Jerry (Nicole) Manuel, Lisa (Shawn) Adkins, and David Manuel, as well as 12 grandchildren Brooke Manuel, DeDe Reynolds, Charity (Clay) Sweatt, Brittany Manuel, Thomas Reynolds Jr, Landon Adkins, Skylar Adkins, Jerald Brady Reynolds, Lucas Adkins, Zack Manuel, and Elzie Carle, as well as many other friends and family.

Jerry worked for the city of East Peoria as a Foreman for 38 years before retiring in January 2009, he helped put together the Folepi Winter Wonderland in East Peoria for many years. His passion was living for God, preaching The Word, and he loved to sing. He was an auxiliary officer at the East Peoria Police Department for a few years. Jerry was a die hard Cardinals fan, he would try to convert people over to varying degrees of success.

Visitation will take place at Remmert Funeral on Wednesday November 4th from 5 to 7pm. Further visitation and service followed by burial will take place at a later date in Cave City Arkansas, see the family for details.
