Gilbert Lee Mills, 64, of Pekin, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Born in Peoria, on August 16, 1961, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Peggy (Sinclair) Mills.
Surviving Gilbert are his three children, Michael Mills, Matthew (Courtney) Mills, and Megan Mills; 13 grandchildren, Jeanne, Ainsley, Ryker, Sommer, Hunter, Aiden, Landon, Noah, Lincoln, Tristan, Savannah, Saidie, and Braylee; and a sister, Diane Mills.
Gilbert was an Operating Engineer for the Local 649, from which he retired. He was previously employed with the City of East Peoria and UCM. He was an avid fan of racing and football, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
