Glen "Bill" W. Gould Jr.

Born June 1, 1931 in Decatur, IL to Glen W. and Helen (Condon) Gould Sr; he married Patricia Roberts on June 10, 1952 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife; children, Glen (Carol) Gould of Peoria, Lisa (Steve) Snyder of Peoria, Wendy (Scott) Smith of Mackinaw and Mark (Kelly) Gould of Bartonville; two brothers, Jack (Nancy) and Steve (April) Gould, both of East Peoria; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bill was a Union concrete finisher last working for Clifford Kaufman & Sons in Morton.

He served in the Army during the Korean conflict and following his discharge was a life member of the VFW serving multiple terms as Commander of the former Post #2078 in East Peoria and he was the last Commander of the club prior to its closing. He was proud to have participated in the 2014 Honor Flight to Washington DC.

Bill loved fishing, camping and baseball. He will be remembered as a family man who was funny and enjoyed pulling pranks. The best remembrances will be through “Bill Stories.”

His funeral will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peoria, of which he was a member. The Rev. William R. Dohle, Jr will officiate. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Military funeral honors will be rendered by the US Army and American Legion Post 2 of Peoria.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, December 1st at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria and from 9:00 to 10:30 am Wednesday at the church.
