Glenn was born January 20, 1924 in Golconda, IL to Ralph and Barbara (Belford) Gullett. They precede him in death along with two sisters, three brother-in-laws and several nieces and nephews
He is survived by his long time friend, Rondel C. Hale of East Peoria, four siblings, Bob (Betty) Gullett of East Peoria, IL, Gwendolyn Broombaugh of Pekin, IL, Gerald (Barbara) Gullet of Congerville, IL and Genola Jones of Burton, MI., also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Glenn served his county in the US Navy and was in charge of the ships Galley, in which he could serve food to over 700 sailors in 40 minutes. After his navy career Glenn served as the Chief Deputy Office Manager for the Peoria Circuit Clerk and retired from there after 30 years.
He was also a member of The Illinois Lodge # 263 in Peoria.
Services for Glenn will be held Thursday April 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Rev. Steve Weber will officiate the service. Burial and Navy Funeral Honors will follow at Fon Du Lac Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday April 9, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Masonic Funeral Rite service will conclude the visitation beginning at 6:45.
Memorial contributions in honor of Glenn may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
