Harold D. Perdue, 86, of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital. Born in Lafayette, TN, on February 7, 1940, he was the son of the late Dennis and Joyce (Hoskins) Perdue. On April 20, 1968, he married Dana Marie Short in Eureka. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2024.
Surviving Harold are four sons, Doug (Lorraine) Perdue of East Peoria, Scott (Irma) Perdue of East Peoria, Tim (Tracy) Perdue of Tremont, and Todd (Donna) Perdue of East Peoria; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Bari) Perdue, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Gary Uppole; and a sister-in-law, Fran Perdue. Aside from his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kalah Perdue; a sister, Jean Uppole; and two brothers, Roger Perdue and Jimmy Perdue.
Harold was a truck driver for Carver Lumber for 28 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Teamsters Local 627. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his grandkids.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Remmert Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Fondulac Cemetery.
