James M. Hrdlicka

James was born Albert Lea, MN, on July 16, 1945 to Robert and Katherine (Working) Hrdlicka. He married Lee Hudson on March 28, 1991 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are; four children; James (Tami) Lickiss of Marquette Heights, IL, Jamie (Griff) Carlson of Jacksonville, FL, James “Jimmy” Bailey of Maui, HI, Trelisa (Rick) Raczak, of Washington, IL, four siblings, Mary Ann (Jerry) Broadfield of Princeville, IL, Robert (Glenda) Hrdlicka of Chillicothe, IL, Craig (Pam) Hrdlicka of East Peoria, IL, Sharon Morgan of East Peoria, IL, Grandchildren; Shelby Lickiss, Gage and Gavin Carlson, Kassidy Raczak, and several nieces and nephews.

Jim worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company as a welder. He retired in 2003 after 30 years of service to CAT. He was a member of the UAW- Local 974.

Jim could do anything he put his mind to. He had many different hobbies, but he excelled most at being a musician; he played guitar, sang and was a songwriter. He also loved to fish, collect antiques, and enjoyed making woodworking crafts.

He loved his family, friends and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held for Jim at 4 PM Saturday May 31, 2014, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Rev. Steve Dobbs will officiate. Visitation will begin at 2 PM Saturday, until the time of service.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Memorial donations in honor of Jim may be made to St. Judes or American Cancer Society.
