James Tony Anthony Jeffers

He was born Sep. 18, 1972 in Peoria to Philmon and Peggy (Hall) Jeffers. They preceded him in death along with one brother, Jerry Lee Jeffers.

Survivors include an aunt and uncle, John and Grace Barnhart of East Peoria, his special friend and companion, Georganne Lax of East Peoria, longtime family friends, Shannon and Alexandria Thrasher of Manito, and numerous other family members in Illinois, Tennessee and Alabama.

Tony was a self-employed contractor in the East Peoria area. He was a member of the Sunnyland Phoenix Group in East Peoria. He was an avid fisherman, taking many trips to Canada and Minnesota. Tony was a great friend and always made people laugh. He also enjoyed listening to music. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Tony’s life will be at a later date. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
