Jeanette C. Jones

She was born August 9. 1925 in Peoria, IL to John H. and Gladys E. (Jack) Day. She married Robert F. Jones on May 27, 1950 in Lewistown, IL. He preceded her in death February 23, 1999. Also preceding in death were her parents and a sister, Mary Eshelman and a niece, Pamela Crawford. Surviving are her sister, Phyllis Connell of Peoria; 2 nieces; 3 nephews and 9 great nieces & nephews.

Jeanette was an operator for Illinois Bell from 1947-79, retiring from its successor, Ameritech, after 32 years.

She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria for many years.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria. Pastor Fred Doughty will officiate. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
