Surviving are her children, Holly (Kirk) Mason of Tremont and Joy Lucas of East Peoria; her sister, Mary Ann Fries; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Scotty” Townsend in 1998, her parents, Vincent and Jennie (Farley) Aiello and a brother, Vincent Aiello.
Joey was a cashier at Foster and Gallagher in Peoria retiring in 1994 after 15 years of service.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and passed time working puzzles and playing bingo.
The family will Celebrate Joey’s life 2-5 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Tremont Community Center. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria assisted the family with private burial at Fondulac Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Tremont Senior Meals or an education fund for her grandchildren c/o Holly Mason.
