Joy Ann Smith

She was born December 20, 1951 in Peoria, the daughter of Lawrence and Katheryn McFarlin White. She married Edward Smith on April 5, 2002.

Joy is survived by her husband of thirteen years; her father, Lawrence White of Bellevue; one step-son, Daniel (Maggie) Smith of Canton; two step-daughters, Regina Burgett of Canton, and Coral (David) Nickels of yates City; seven step-grandchildren and one step- great-grandson; one sister, Janet long of Peoria; three brothers, Phillip (Linda) White of Auburn, Georgia, Rick White of Morton, and Terry (Sharon) White of Oregon.

She is preceded in death by one daughter, her mother, one brother, and one sister.

Joy retired from OSF in 2014 after 32 years of service.

She enjoyed her four dogs, going to auctions and garage sales.

Joy was a Gold Star Sister, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Peoria.

Funeral Services will be at 2pm Friday Jan 29, 2016 at Remmert Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Rev David Gruber will officiate.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
