Juanita Vest

East Peoria: Juanita Vest, 87, of East Peoria passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Washington Christian Village.

Juanita was born on August 26, 1925 in Cave City Arkansas, the daughter of Middleton Harrison Mobley & Jenny Ethyl Ward Mobley. She married Robert Ford Vest on January 24, 1946 in Batesville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2009. Juanita was employed as an executive secretary at Caterpillar, Inc. until her retirement.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of East Peoria. She and her late husband were antique car enthusiasts and members of the Early Ford V-8 Antique Car Club.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth (and wife, Nancy) of Tewksbury, New Jersey; two grandsons, Timothy and David Vest; a brother, John (and wife, Caroline) Mobley of Kirkwood, Missouri; and twin sisters, Donnie (and husband, Dorris) Watt, of Alton, Illinois, and Nettie Gorman of Marshfield, Missouri.

Juanita was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ernest Mobley, and one sister, Laverne Guthals.

Funeral Services will be Monday, March 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with the Rev. Mary Arnold officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon March 10, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of East Peoria.
