Judith Ann "Judy" Harmon, 84, of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Peoria, on July 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Clement Gilles and Marjorie (Higgins) Gilles.
Surviving Judy are three children, Doug (Jen) Harmon, Denise (Andrew) Worsfold, and Danielle (Jim) Hearn; three grandchildren, Kyle (Cacie) Harmon, Joseph Hearn, and Michael Hearn; a great granddaughter, Charlee; and three siblings, Jerry Gilles, Janelle Phillips, and Jeff (Cindy) Gilles. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Judy worked as a school bus driver for Dunlap School District #323 for many years. She loved all of the children on her routes.
She enjoyed talking, drinking a Pepsi, watching football, reading, and watching the photos of her great granddaughter on her digital photo frame. She was so proud of her grandchildren's many accomplishments.
Judy was a loyal and lifelong friend to many. To know Judy you knew the important family stories of her childhood with her siblings, and her adult life with her children.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Remmert Funeral Home, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private at Parkview Cemetery.
