Julie A Jones

Julie A. Jones, 79, of Wyoming, passed away at 9:16 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Springfield, on February 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Lois G. (Ingersoll) Andrews. She was married to Herman Jerome "Jerry" Jones, and together they had five children.

Surviving Julie are three children, Laura (Donald) Charvat of Wyoming, David "Butch" (Sonya Jensen) Jones of Toulon, and Sharon (Neal) Shryock of Wyoming; fourteen grandchildren, Jolene Jones, Jennifer Jones, Justin (Natasha) Jones, Jeremy (Nikki) Jones, Josh (Taylor) Jones, Jeffery Charvat, Joey (Serena) Charvat, David Jones, Jr., Michael Jones, Courtney (Mike Massey) Jones, Timothy Shryock, Haley Shryock, Robert (Jamie) Charvat, and Kayla (Aaron) Hoffman; 30 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a brother, Richard Andrews of Pekin. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Michael Jones and Dorene Jones; granddaughter, Shelby Charvat; and many brothers and sisters.

Julie was employed as a CNA at Pekin Manor and Morton Terrace for many years. She enjoyed playing poker machines and BINGO, and spending time with her family, especially baking for them and gathering everyone during the holidays.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Remmert Funeral Home, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lexington. Condolences and memories may be shared through RemmertFuneralHome.com
