Kathy Sue Brown Brotherton

Kathy Sue Brotherton, 54, of Cherokee, IA formally of East Peoria, IL passed away Wednesday October 5, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. Kathy was born March 18, 1957 in Missouri to Lonnie and Genova Williams Brown. She married Eldon Brotherton on August 1, 1980 in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are: her husband Eldon of Cherokee, IA, daughters; Ella (William) Sluss of Boonville, AR and Genovia (Willard) Mowder of Peoria, IL, step daughter Tiffany of MT, seven grandchildren, two great grandsons, her brother Virgil (Gloria) Brown of LA, and sisters; Georgia Schriner of Texas, Janice (Jeff) Perrine of Missouri, Peggy (Gary) Humphery of Missouri, Sharon (Keith) Hillard of Missouri, Sandra (Bill) Wilhoughby of Missouri, and Jackie Doss of Texas. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Charolette Dugas.

Kathy loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Remmert Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery.
