Dear Reliford Family,

When I think of your mother a smile comes to my face. She was such a fun and creative lady. I remember her and my mom pouring over patterns and excited about a new sewing project. Mom, my sister Mary and I all took a ceramic course and it was a great time. Please know I am thinking of you and hope the huge void you feel from her passing is in some small way made easier by knowing how much joy and fun she spread throughout her life.

Lorraine was a wonderful friend while we both taught at Gerber School and LaSalle in Creve Coeur. Her passion for the arts was inspiring...especially when she created a kiln for her students at Gerber! I so enjoyed attending her ceramics class each week at her home. Whenever I look at one of those pieces, I think fondly of her. My sympathy to all of her family.

Dear Steve, Randy, Lori and families,
I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of a wonderful person. Your mother was such an important part of my childhood, and I'll always remember how kind she was to me and to our whole family. We were next-door neighbors, and she considered my mom her second mother. The feeling was mutual, and Lorraine never forgot a holiday or a birthday. When Mother moved into Riverview, Lorraine's presence across the hall was a comfort to her, as they were once again "neighbors!"

The memories of sitting behind Lorraine atop her horse, holding on tight to her as the horse galloped down the road, are treasured ones -- as was being the flower girl in her wedding, babysitting for you kids, and enjoying the gifts of her artistic talents.

Lorraine had a great sense of humor, and times with her and my two big sisters were filled with fun and lots of laughter. Patty died on August 2, and my hope is that those 2 good friends, along with my mother, are enjoying a release from pain and sorrow.

Hers was a life well-lived.

My sincere condolences,
Diana Blue Gross

Reliford family - memories of your mom are painting ceramics downstairs at her home and singing in the church choir with her. She was a fun person and will be missed.

Dear Relifords, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't help but to think about the good times our parents are having in Heaven by now! We had a lot of laughs and made a ton of memories with your family!! Your Mom was such a special woman and made Mom's transition into Riverview a pleasant one. They continued to make their own memories and Shelby had a great time visiting, playing Bingo and eating with them!!
May God hold you all in the palm of His hand during this difficult time.
With Love, Sherri Beutel

Dear Reliford Family,
I will forever remember, Mrs. Reliford. In 1972, at the age of 8, she was my 3rd grade teacher. At that time, I had significant health issues and surgeries. Mrs. Reliford came to my home to tutor me (as I was unable to attend school)and made a tremendous impact on my life through her mercy, compassion and desire to bring "normalcy" to my life. I am forever indebted to her. It is my prayer, God comforts you all through this time.~ Deanne (Williams) Crawford,
