Marjorie Louise "Marge" Collins, 86, of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Aperion Care in Peoria Heights. She was born on August 15, 1936 in Peoria, a daughter of Manford B. and Opal B. (Shepard) Collins.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Collins; and sister, June Collins.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Johnson of Eureka; sister-in-law, Deanna Collins of Washington; and 6 nieces and nephews.
Marge last worked in housekeeping for Methodist Hospital for many years. She previously worked as a waitress at the Bergner's Tea Room and also for the Holiday Inn, both in Peoria.
She loved to crochet and go shopping. Her favorite color was green. When she was younger she was known for her red hair and her love of roller skating.
Marge's funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. There will be no visitation. Burial will take place in Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
