She was born May 24, 1929 to Charles and Izora (Kirkland) O’Dell. She married Alvis Brotherton December 29, 1951 in Salem, AR. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2005.
Also preceding in death were her brother and four sisters.
Surviving are; her son, Eldon Brotherton of East Peoria; her granddaughter, Tiffany Stone of Missoula, Montana; three great grandchildren; and her sister, Vivian (Bill) Yemm of Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, January 2, 2015 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, IL. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Rural Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
