Mary L. Finn

She was born Oct. 28, 1925 in East Peoria to Lloyd and Icle (Yerian) Leas. She married Patrick E. Finn in Peoria on May 1, 1942. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by five children, Patricia Finn LaConte, Theresa (Pat) Willett, Elaine Finn (Michael Johnson), Pauli (Tim) McGwin, James Finn; sister, Ellie Johnson; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She and her husband were the proprietors of the Hilltop Restaurant in Montello, WI until 1981. She loved to fish, quilt, play scrabble and do gardening.

Mary was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church in East Peoria, where Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 with Msgr. James Kruse officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria and also 30 minutes before services Wednesday at church. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the St. Monica’s Beautification Project or to charity of your choice.
