

He was born in Coles County, IL to Leo L. and Mabel Oteal (Stout) Hutton. He married the love of his life, Donna Bohm on June 30, 1956 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his two children, Steve Hutton, and Barbara Floyd; three grandchildren, Megan Hutton, Coby Floyd, and Scott Floyd; and two brothers, Rev. Gary (Marilyn) Hutton, and Joe (Linda) Hutton. He loved his extended family on his wife’s side as well. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Max graduated from Woodruff High in Peoria in 1952 and attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina. He was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served as Moderator of Peoria Life Underwriters and worked in the insurance field, ending his career, at retirement with ISI Companies in Peoria Heights.
He loved and served the Lord with all his heart and his legacy will be that his family also loved the Lord and will happily meet him in Heaven one day. We wish to thank Rev. Ralph Beeler, Jr. for the many years he taught Bible Doctrine to Max and his family at Scripture Studies Church in Peoria.
Max loved sports so much, especially his Los Angeles Dodgers. He enjoyed coaching softball at Grace Church. He was on the board at the Peoria Pacers, and at Bradley University for over 35 years helping with the Stats for both the men’s and women’s teams.
He was involved with numerous clubs, Bradley Chief’s Club, Rotary and AMBUCS. He proudly served as GOP Precinct Committeeman for the Fondulac District.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, with Funeral Services to follow at 4 p.m. Cremation will be accorded following the services.
