We are so sad to know this world no longer has Mel. My Mom, Edith Wilson and Mel have been friends for many years, first meeting through the Orange Blossom Garden Club of Lutz. Edith has not been able to get out much the last two years but we have kept in touch with Mel. We are thankful that Mel was able to move to Illinois with Linda and spend a few months of special time with her family. Rest in Peace, our lovely Mel. We will surely miss you but you will always be in our hearts.

Suzanne and Edith Wilson

One fond memory was a gathering to celebrate Mel reaching the sweet age of ninety. Edith had reached her 90th the previous August. Edith and Mel always enjoyed sharing that they were the same age for half a year. A picture from the gathering will remain a treasure to us.

We met during Hurricane Irma last September. To my regret my family and I only spent a few nights together with Ms. Callahan. She taught us to play Phase 10 then proceeded to win most of the games. She was witty, fiercely independent, and a joy to spend a storm with. She spoke lovingly and proudly of her family. May Blessing of Peace be upon you all. Lisa & all the Knights
