OBITUARY

Michelle Lynn Hefferan

November 1, 1973June 9, 2021

Michelle "Shelley" Lynn Hefferan, 47, of Pekin, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria.

She was born November 1, 1973 in Peoria, IL to Jonnie and Christine (Coombs) Carter. She married Toby Cooper November 27, 1993. She later married Donald Hefferan on June 8, 2012.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Pekin; her father, Jonnie (Deborah) Carter; three daughters, Samantha Carter of Peoria, Ashley Carter of Bartonville, and Emily Cooper of Pekin; three siblings, Zachary Carter of Peoria, Brandon Pilgrim, and Breanne Carter both of Washington. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Brayden, Owen, Jax, Brylee, Stevie, Parker, and Emmy; Uncle, Stevie Coombs; Aunt, Connie (Mike) Richmond; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Peanut, Cashew, and Boxer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine and step father Lou McClaskey, and a grand-daughter, Bailey Smith.

Shelley worked as a District Manager for Sally's Beauty Supply and enjoyed being involved in new sales endeavors such as, doing hair and cosmetics, jewelry, perfumes and lips gloss. She loved her Jeep, Cheetah print, things that sparkled, shopping and collecting shoes. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her husband, who was her world. Shelley was strong in her faith and attended Faith Christian Center in East Peoria and Riverside Community Church in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Chad Richmond will officiate.

Shelley made a difference in many peoples lives. She had a career at Sally Beauty that she could be proud of. Her Sally family will miss her dearly. Sending thoughts and prayers for her family.

I knew Shelly from Sally Beauty Supply. She was my manager in Peoria. Then I went back a few years later when she became GM. She gave me a second chance and rehired me! She will be missed 😪

I knew shelly from being stevie combs staff where he lived. She was so very nice and was a awsome niece to him .always came and took him overnight and to church. .god bless her and her family. Kim miller
