Mildred L. "Minnie" Riley

She was born October 3, 1935 in Paducah, Kentucky to John and Cora Mae (Davidson) Ellis. She married Rayburn Riley on June 30, 1950 in Carnack, Miss. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2010.

Surviving are her children, Diane (John) Railey of Washington, IL and Glenn Riley of East Peoria; four grandchildren, Tim, Amy, Jason and Kevin; five great grandchildren; her brother, Carl Ellis of Paducah; nieces and nephews who thought of her as grandma and she had many great nieces and great nephews.

Also preceding in death were 3 sisters and 1 brother.

She enjoyed playing bingo and her “visits to the Boat.” She loved in a big way and was always helpful to others in any way that she could. Her passing leaves a hole in the family that will never be filled.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Keith Thibo will officiate. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the family through Minnie’s daughter Diane.
