(Nina) June Spurlock

She was born Sept. 18, 1929 in Lancaster, OH to John and Grace (McHorter) Wilber. She married John L. Spurlock in Jacksonville, IL on Dec. 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandsons; 1 brother and 1 sister.

Surviving are 2 sons, James (Carol) Spurlock of Peoria, Randal Spurlock of Marquette Heights; 2 daughters, Marianna (Dennis) Vandiver of East Peoria, Paula (Dan) Reid of Ottumwa, IA; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Mae (Bud) Bridges of Springfield; and 2 brothers, James (Connie) Wilber of Springfield and David (Mary) Wilber of St. Louis, MO.

June worked at CANTEEN in Peoria for 33 years before retiring in Oct. of 1991. She was a member of Eastside Bible Church in Morton and Prime Timers. She was also a member of the East Peoria Home Extension, and East Peoria Tops Club.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Rev. Steve Weber officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
