Patty Jo Adams

Patty Adams, 90, of East Peoria, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on February 18, 1926 in Harlingen, Texas to Euel and Rea (Murphy) Phillips. She married Virgil R. Adams Sr. on March 11, 1944 in Lamont, California. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2004 in Morton. She was also preceded in death by three sisters; two half- brothers and one half-sister.

She is survived by one son, Ray (Ginger) Adams of Peoria; four grandchildren, Jenny Waldsmith, Carrie Kleist, Brian Adams and Becky Leonard; seven great grandchildren.

Patty worked in housekeeping at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 1986. She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Steve Hardin will officiate. There will be no visitation.
