Paul Stephan Carver

Paul Stephan Carver, age 73, of East Peoria, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his home. He was born October 5, 1949 in Peoria, IL to John and Althea "Chickie" (Sorenson) Carver. He married Martha Sornson on December 12, 1992 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving is one son, Jason Carver; two siblings, John (Fran) Carver of Texas and Mary Dee Bomberger of Lincoln, Nebraska; one granddaughter, Skyla Chance and several nieces and nephews. Paul was a graduated of Woodruff High School and Bradley University and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked many years for Caterpillar Inc and retired as a Quality Control Engineer. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church in his youth and was a member of Peoria Skeet and Trap Club. Paul enjoyed riding his Indian Motorcycle, traveling the country, hunting, Skeet Shooting and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter. Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of life will be from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 with Military Honors to follow at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
