

Born January 5, 1929, in Peoria to Juliette (Jones) Hart and Howard Hart, Mona married George William Bricka in Peoria on April 15, 1950. George passed away July 27, 2004.
Mona is survived by sons, Karl Victor (Valerie) Bricka of Pekin and Geoff (Cindy) Bricka of Germantown; two grandchildren, Geoffrey (Emily) Bricka and Madeline Bricka; two great grandchildren, Austin and Elsie Bricka. She is also survived by two siblings, Gladys Carter and Everett Hart both of East Peoria; four nieces, Monica Clemens, Sandra (Brad) Armstrong, Teri (Dave) Sammis, Debi (Kirk) Anderson, and three nephews, Bill (Vicki) Hart, Kim (Paula) Hart, and Kerry (LeeAnn) Hart.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kurt Bricka, one brother, Robert, one grandson, Cale V. Bricka, niece Cathy Totten and nephew Chris Carter.
Mona had fond memories of dancing with her sister. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She loved adventures with her nieces and family. Later in life, she went to work for Caterpillar. Mona loved camping weekends with her boys. Mona and George travelled the west and loved winters in Arizona.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Remmert Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Remmert Funeral Home, East Peoria.
