Ray M. Tice

He was born Oct. 25, 1940 in Lynnville, TN to Raymond and Jessie Lee (Thurman) Tice. He married Glenda Gorrell Sep. 20, 1986 in Creve Coeur. She survives along with four daughters: Diane Gorrell of East Peoria, Sue Stiscak of Las Vegas, NV, Kim (Marvin) Spiczka of Pekin, Sherry (Fred) Butler of Port Charlotte, FL, three sons: Billy (Lisa) Gorrell of Decatur, Bobby (Jackie) Gorrell of East Peoria, Ricky (Dena) Gorrell of Creve Coeur, two sisters: Leona Layne of Columbia, TN, Reba Carlson of Marceline, Mo, and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, and one grandson.

Ray worked at the East Peoria Caterpillar, Inc. plant for 30 years as an inspector retiring in 1994. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Funeral services will be Friday April 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
