He was born Oct. 13, 1945 in Greeneville, TN to Harold Pastel and Mary Ellen (Kelly) Stanton. He married Holly Morrow Aug. 18, 1984 in East Peoria. She survives along with one son, Garie Morrow of West Peoria, six grandchildren, one great-grandson, one brother, Norman Stanton of East Peoria, two sisters: Dorothy Carolyn Lovell of Marquette Heights, Donna Stanton of Pekin, and a host of cousins from East Peoria and Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Severs.
Bob was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1969 through 1970. He was a Heat Treat operator at Caterpillar, Inc. for 36 years retiring in 2002.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a celebration of Bob’s life at a later date. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
