Robert Streitmiller

He was born June 19, 1941 in Peoria to Edwin and Frances (Mencin) Streitmiller.

Bob is survived by his wife, Juanita Streitmiller, whom he married on August 24, 1979 in Peoria and children, Jamie (Jay) Ochoa, Bobby (Jennie) Streitmiller, and Tracie (Michael) Knight; grandchildren, Andrew (Lauren) Schroderus, Austin (Rebecca Swanson) Schroderus, Abriella Ochoa, and Mya Knight; great grandchildren, Kaden, Kolt and Kale Schroderus; and his sister, Shirley Jacobson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Beverly Ann Streimiller.

Bob was a toolmaker at Caterpillar, Inc, retiring in 1999 after 38 years of service as a member of UAW Local 974.

He was a member of the Slowpokes Street Rod Car Club for many years and enjoyed building his own cars from the ground up. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited.

Everybody loved Bob!

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mike DeTrempe will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
