Rolan C. Pennock

Born Dec. 7, 1933 in National City, CA to Charles and Annie (Mason) Pennock. He married Hazel Graddy in Hernando, MS in 1955. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Dorothy Pennock, Ruth Anne (Fred) Woods, Charles Pennock, Malinda Pennock, Keith (Debbie) Pennock, Terri (Greg) Blum; two brothers, Russell and Dick (Margie) Pennock; five grandchildren, Jeremiah (Becky) Woods, Chris and Andrew Pennock, Clay and Tess Blum; and two great grandsons, John and Benjamin Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, William.

Rolan worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 40 years before retiring on Oct. 1, 1991. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Peoria.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday Oct. 20, 2011 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Rev. Jim Book officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
