Rose Amelia Gold

She was born, one of her parents 13 children, on July 21, 1918 in Toulon, IL to Frank and Elizabeth (Stanley) Marsh. She married John Gold on December 17, 1956 in East Peoria and then he preceded her in death on August 23, 1998 in Peoria.

Also preceding in death were her grandson, Kenny; great grandson, Ashton; 5 sisters and 7 brothers.

Surviving are her four children, Robert Blanch, Marion “Bud” Blanch, Eleanor “Nonie” Milligan, Eugene (Pam) Blanch; sister, Thelma Colman; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.

Rose worked for many years in several laundry shops in the area, including FW Means.

She enjoyed fishing, camping and bingo.

She attended Roland Manor Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
