Rosemary Carnell

Rosemary Carnell, 84, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at her home. Born in Industry, IL, on February 25, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Opal (Estes) Lantz. On November 30, 1974, she married William A. Carnell. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2010.

Surviving are two children, Daryl (Laura) Carnell and Michelle (Kevin) Cluney; six grandchildren, Zachary (Haley) Carnell, Tyler (Gabby) Carnell, Natalie Ballor, Savannah Cluney, Steve Trainor, and Jackie Trainor; six great grandchildren, Maverick, Weston, Sierra, Issac, Joey, and Thomas, with Bodhi on the way. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Bob Lantz and Roberta Pittman.

Rosemary worked as the head cook at Caterpillar for many years. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, cooking, and was an avid seamstress. You could always find her making a set of curtains.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Remmert Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fondulac Cemetery.
