Ruth was born Friday, April 15, 1932 in Peoria, the daughter of Olan & Gladys Rowe Lane. She married Robert Winchell in Rock Island on Saturday, April 28, 1951.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years; two sons, Kenneth and Randy both of East Peoria; one brother, Swede (Shirley) Lane of Morton: one sister, Joann Weyhrick of Green Valley; one grandson, Robert (Kaci) Winchell of Orlando, FL; one granddaughter, Shawna Winchell of East Peoria.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in East Peoria, and East Side Fitness Center.
Visitation will be from 12-2 on Monday January 23, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
