She was born July 14, 1959 in Peoria to Rev. Val and Wanda (Thackston) Tarlton. She married Jack Nave in Hannibal, MO on Oct. 23, 1987. He survives.
Also surviving are 2 children, April (Russ) Pattenaude, and Dave F. Smith II; 3 grandchildren, Sierra, MaKenzee, and Tyler; and 2 brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sheila liked to play the piano, paint, do gardening, and her pet dog, Shea.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Rev. Lelon Gatlin officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
