Sherry Crew Kane

Sherry Crew Kane, 70, of Peoria, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 in Peoria. Sherry was born June 27, 1955 Peoria, to Terry and Nellie (Wiseman) Crew. She married Steve Kane, who preceded her in death in 2016. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Carmen Marie Crew and Terry Lynn Crew; and one brother, Dennis Roy Crew.

Surviving is her step-father, Roger Thornton of Bartonville, two children, Ryan Steven Kane of Vandalia, and Stephanie Hoak of Peoria; and three siblings, Teresa Britt of Gulf Breeze, FL, Danny Lee (Bonnie) Crew and Kenny Crew both of Claremont, FL.

Sherry was a past member of the Breaking Tree Ministries where she worked as the church secretary and volunteered in feeding the homeless each week. Sherry in a current member of the Central Life Church in Pekin. She enjoyed tending to her plants, playing with her dog Duke, fishing with Frankie, and eating out with friends. Sherry was strong in her faith and loved going to church and bible study.

Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Remmert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
