

She was born June 23, 1931 in Washington, IL to Emery and Bertha (Wageman) Zinser. She married Ralph R. Kemper, Sr. June 25, 1949 in Carthage, IL. He passed away July 24, 1997 in Washington. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald Kemper, two sisters: Ramona Mouser, Judy Augstino, and three grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons: Ralph R. Kemper, Jr of Raymond, WA, Danny L. (Margaret) Kemper of Versailles, MO, four daughters: Barbara Cheryl Bland of Winchester, TN, Joyce E. (William) Reker of Carlyle, IL, Debra S. (Jim) Elias of Washington, IL, Shirley A. Hackett of Fenton, MO, thirty-two grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, two sisters: Patricia Connaughton of Washington, IL, Joyce Eakmann of Edelstein, IL, one brother, Richard Zinser of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a Homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Morton. She enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls, and elephants.
Funeral services will be Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Keokuk National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Morton.
