Theresa "Tee" Webster Murray

East Peoria – Theresa “Tee” Murray, 45, of East Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. She was born February 6, 1970 in Peoria, IL to Arnold “Elvis” and Marilyn (Miller) Webster. After Elvis’s death, Theresa was raised by Marilyn’s new husband Bobby Brown, Sr.

Surviving is her mother Marilyn Brown of East Peoria, IL, her soul mate Gary Freiburger of Peoria, IL, two sons: Donald Salter of East Peoria, IL and Dustin Salter of East Peoria, IL, her daughter Brionna Murray of East Peoria, IL, three grandchildren: Scotty Magnusson, Kamille Searle, and Alexis M. Salter, two brothers: Bobby Brown, Jr., of East Peoria, IL and Jeff Brown of Lewistown, IL, two sisters: Shania Brown of East Peoria, IL and Shelby Brown of East Peoria, IL, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by both of her fathers.

Theresa obtained her associate’s degree in nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for the past six years. Prior to earning her degree, she worked as a correctional officer for nine years at the Illinois River Corrections Center in Canton, IL. Theresa held a special place in her heart for children and was a foster parent for many years.

Theresa had a love for horses. If she wasn’t working she was spending time riding and showing horses all around the Peoria Area. She also had a love for animals and never passed up a stray that she could take care of or find a home for.

Services will be held at 7 pm Friday, April 10, 2015 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, IL. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
