Gone much too soon.  I know you loved your husband and your family, but I also know you are with your sweet mother and all the others who went before you.  You will be missed by me and all who knew you.

Velvet loved life. She lost so much in her short time here. But she came out the other side, when she was better smiling.  She had a temper ( she referred to as the Montgomery temper) lol. But when she finally got over it she always seemed to forget it ever happened.  As her Eldest Sister as she liked to rib me about, I would know.  We had something I never understood come between us the past 3-4 yrs, I never knew what it was, but it wasn't important. Because 2-3days before she left us she called out of the blue and said she didn't even know why she was mad. And then we talked for a half hour or more and she was the Velvet we all always loved. God gave me that blessing, and I will hang on to it. Forever.         I'll miss you sis. I was looking forward to finally getting to come visit again like I used too.    Love you 

Velvet was the most loving ,honest person I ever met. She was truly a loving  woman .  LOVED  her family  dearly.  Auntie. I love u with all my heart . And will never forget all the times we all shared.  . Fly high with brenda and rock those angel wings

when we were kids, i remember learning you guys were moving to illinois. i couldnt wait until you  moved in with us. all i could think about was i had a sister. we became like brother sister and nothing could ever change that honey. i will miss you dearly. say hi to all our aunts and uncles. i will miss our visits and special times we had together over all these years. love you miss you forever.


Don, Belinda, Angie, Zach & family, our prayers are with you.  Velvet was always so upbeat through all that she went through.  She was definitely an example of how to stay positive in times of adversity.  I'm sure she was welcomed when she got to heaven by all our angels that are already there.  
May God wrap his loving arms around you all at this time.
