Wade Curtis Richrath

Wade Richrath, 66, of East Peoria, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on August 24, 1957, a son of Curtis Richrath and Eunice L. (Leuthold) Richrath. Wade married Dawn Ray on May 23, 1980 in Peoria. She survives.

He is also survived by his two children, Holly Tatum of Morton and Cody (Samantha) Richrath of Germantown Hills; three grandchildren, Luke Tatum of Morton and Fiona and Leo Richrath both of Germantown Hills; two sisters-in-law, Justine Richrath of East Peoria and Stacey Ray of Eagle River, Wisconsin; one brother-in-law, Shawn (Stacy) Ray of Spring Bay; and several nieces and nephews.

Wade was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Lois Richrath; two brothers, Gary and Dennis; and one sister, Sheri LoCoco; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ervin and Beverly Ray; and one brother-in-law, Jett Ray.

He was a graduate of East Peoria Community High School, class of 1975.

Wade last worked as a front-end/alignment technician for Peoria Tire & Vulcanizing for many years.

He was a member of the MGCA Shooting Range in Washburn. Wade loved target shooting and instructing others in the sport. He also loved the outdoors, especially watching the wildlife. Wade took pride in the care of his lawn. His greatest joy were his children and grandchildren. He loved traveling with his family and friends.

Wade's celebration of life service will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. His celebration of life gathering will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm also on Saturday at the funeral home.
