Wayne Albert Phillips

He was born November 28, 1951 in Peoria to William and Faye (Holmes) Phillips. He married Janelle Hamann on October 11, 1980 in East Peoria. She survives along with two sons: Mick (Tammy) Sommerer of California, Missouri, Bart (Amanda) Phillips of Russellville, Missouri, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, triplet stillborn girls, two brothers, Delbert and Kevin Phillips, and one sister, Janet Gilles.

Wayne was an HVAC Specialist working in the East Peoria and Peoria area until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, the St Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was also a member of the Parkway Christian Church in Pekin.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Wayne's Life will be Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.

Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery in Centertown, Missouri at a later date.
