My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, Mrs. Butterfield. I have thought of you and Bill many times in the past months and weeks and will always remember your kindness shown to me when I was caring for Bill as his home care nurse. I praise the Lord that he is at peace and without suffering. May the God of all comfort, comfort you and yours in these coming days, weeks ahead.
Sincerely, Leslie Lutz - former home care nurse, Proctor hospital

Uncle Bill and family, you were such a constant during my childhood and an inspiration to me in my adulthood. Your love of your family and love of Jesus will keep you in our hearts forever. Mom, Marian Eccles, will miss your "discussions". Hugs and prayers to all of you from New Jersey.

I remember Bill's gentle smile and the sincere way he would inquire about everyone's well-being. He was so proud of his family and he loved telling us about your interests and achievements. We know he will be in Heaven watching over all of you. With our sympathy, Linda (Mayo) and Tim Elder

Jill, we want you to know that we are with you in spirit, and only regret that distance makes it impossible for us to be with you in person. With all our sympathy, Janet, Cotton and David

I want to express condolences to the whole Butterfield family for the loss of Bill. I remember when the family started attending the East Peoria FM church, and the positive impact you had. I spent many teenage Sunday afternoons hanging out with Chip, playing guitars and likely being a nuisance, but I always felt welcome. I'm sorry for your earthly loss but I'm grateful that Bill is with The Lord.

When going for my walk this morning I had a sudden recollection of how fast you walked and how difficult it was to keep up with you. And then I realized that was from many years ago. I know you are rejoicing now in being free from your earthly body. I watched you struggle to use it to its last ounce of strength. I miss you and love you and am happy you are finally in heaven.
