He was born Sep. 1, 1948 in Lawrenceburg, TN. to William and Evelyn (Hanson) Roberson. He married Jami Brooks on April 28, 1972 in Benson, IL. She survives along with one daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Anderson of Varna, IL, two sons: William “Lucious” Roberson of Norwood, IL, Clifford (Cristy) Roberson of Cambridge, IL, and three grandchildren: Kami, Crew, and Chase.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Bill worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 31 years retiring in 1999. He was a member, and for several years, the chairman of the election committee of the Local 974. Following his retirement from Caterpillar, Bill owned and operated Roberson Trucking.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sep. 16, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Graveside services will be Tuesday, Sep. 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
