Florence Alma Denison

Florence Alma Denison, age 85, of Burnsville, MN, (formally of East Point, GA), passed away July 31, 2014. Florence Alma Denison born May 23, 1929, was a loving Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. In her 85 years of life she enjoyed time spent tending to her garden, caring for young children, and brewing up large batches of sweet tea to offer anyone who entered her East Point home. She traveled the world faithfully loving her husband and their time spent with the US Air Force. The final years of her life were spent in Burnsville, MN where she was visited and cared for by her loving family and friends. Flo took her final breaths on the afternoon of July 31, 2014. She peacefully and painfully left to be joined with the Lord and those who have gone before her. Flo's infectious smile and loving spirit will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Denison, parents; Frank and Inez Crowe. Surviving are sons; Bobby and Darren Denison (Brooke), daughters; Achilla Cagle, Tammy Lofthus, grandchildren; Bobby Edgley (Erin), Casey and Taylor Cagle, Jordan and Darby Lofthus, Logan Hendrick (Dave), Ritchie, Lucas and Elaina Denison, great-grandchild; Ethan Edgley, brother; Bill Crowe (Betty), sister; Fran Jones. With grateful hearts the family would like to recognize the following people who cared so lovingly for Flo in the final years of her life; Jordan Lofthus, Logan Hendrick, Darby Lofthus, Larry Miller, Reggie Hill, Euni Froehlich, Kaitlyn Bosman, Chrystal Otundo and Cindy Lervoog. A special thank you to my employer Kraus-Anderson Insurance, who allowed me to care for my mother with unwavering support and never ending flexibility. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, East Point, GA. Entombment will follow at Westview Abbey. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Historic Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral 2968 East Point St., East Point, GA 30344.
