

Alice “Lynn” Alsobrook, 74, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, passed away April 12, 2022, at home. Lynn was born on February 28, 1948 in the original Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN to the late James Samuel Alsobrook, Jr. and Alice Elizabeth Alsobrook.
Lynn is survived by her daughter, Megan Coffey (Michael) of Chattanooga, TN, and her sweet grandchildren Josephine Eloise Coffey and Asher Samuel Coffey. Her grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Lynn called Lookout Mountain, GA her home for over 50 years, where she was a longtime member of The Fairyland Club, and the Lookout Mountain Garden Club.
Lynn attended The Bright School, and Girls Preparatory School class of 1966. She went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from Auburn University in 1970. While at Auburn, she was inducted into the Pi Beta Phi fraternity, a community that she cherished and sustained lifetime friendships.
After college, she began her 17 year career as a Delta Flight Attendant, which sparked her love of traveling. The stories of her travels throughout Europe will live on in our memory.
Lynn was a woman of many talents, from interior design and gardening, to arts and crafts. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, drawing, knitting, sewing, and was even featured in the Chattanooga Times Free Press for her beautiful fascinator hats.
God blessed her with the gift of compassion and generosity for women in need and abandoned animals. She spent many years donating to and volunteering at various women’s shelters and the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga.
Lynn was a member of the Anglican Church of the Redeemer where she regularly attended for 9 years.
Lynn had the unique gift of drawing people in and making them feel welcome. From Lynn’s radiant smile to her quirky laugh, her warm and contagious personality will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home-East Chapel, 404 S Moore Rd., East Ridge, TN 37412 on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM. A funeral service will also be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Anglican Church of the Redeemer, 104 McBrien Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37411, followed by a graveside service at Forest Hills Cemetery in Chattanooga.
