She and her two siblings; Marcia & James were the children of Maurice & Lucille Trumbo. Arlene enjoyed playing the piano, violin, accordion and other instruments. She was an amazing seamstress. She was independent and creative, and loved making treasure boxes from wood scraps to the very end! She also loved studying the Bible and working with prison ministries. Towards the end of her life, Arlene fell in love with the book, “Christ our Righteousness” by E.G. Wagner. She told her son Andrew that it transformed her life and she prayed all her kids and loved ones would be blessed by it as well. She died in peace, looking forward to the great reunion day when Jesus comes to take His children home.
She was preceded in death by her father James Trumbo, her husband Egon Boettcher, her mother Lucille Trumbo, her sister Marcia Babbitt and her brother James Trumbo.
Survivors include all three of her children and their families; Rose Cowels, Fred Boettcher and Andrew Boettcher and her grandchildren; Darrah, Landon and Ella.
