Barbara Davis

Barbara Davis went home to be with Jesus on February 18, 2026. She lived a long life filled with family and friends who loved and adored her. Barbara made everyone she met feel special and loved, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She grew up in Cleveland, TN and was a graduate of Bradley County High School. She attended and graduated from Harding College in Searcy, AK where she met her husband, Rex. They were married seventy years as of January 6th of this year. She was a devoted wife and mother and held some interesting jobs along the way such as Secretary to Criminal Court Judge Tillman Grant and Ticket office attendant at the UTC McKenzie Arena. She attended worship at the Brainerd and East Brainerd churches of Christ. She also volunteered for several years teaching Bible classes with the Inner-City Outreach Ministry.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Samantha Prewitt, stepfather Ancil Prewitt, and son Dana Davis. She is survived by her daughter Jena Kay (Joe) Pope, daughter-in-law Susan Davis, sons Delane (Ginny) Davis and Brian (Sondra) Davis, grandchildren Cameron, Samantha (Aaron) Brink, Taylor (Emma) Davis, Kinsey (Jordan) Stanley, Karlyn (Cole) Manos, John, Jeremy (Whitney) Davis, Jason (Erin) Davis, Caleb (Lindsay) Davis, Noah (Allison) Davis and Bryson (Jenna) Davis, and great grands Jane, Davey, Wilkes, Macy, Owen, Keightley, Corrie Mae, Shepherd, Milton (on the way), Molly, Nelson, Adilyn, Myla, and Polly.

The family will receive friends from 10 – 12 Monday, February 23 at East Brainerd Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM at the Church with burial to follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
