Barney "Rocky" Alonzo Beach

Barney “Rocky” Beach of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Rocky was a longtime resident of Birmingham, Alabama. Born in Tampa, Florida, grew up in Zephyrhills, Florida, until he left for college at Auburn University, he was a true “War Eagle.” He also proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Rocky spent his early career in the chemical business in manufacturing products like “Best” which he traveled and sold all across America to most all Camping Worlds. His other products included EnvironNu, and then he and a partner entered into building and leasing an industrial park. Rocky knew he was blessed coming from being an orphan to where he had arrived by God’s grace.

Rocky is preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Beach Britt. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila McDaniel Beach, son Rocky Beach, Jr. of Cropwell, Alabama, and Sandy Beach Meijer (Durk Meijer) Hilo, Hawaii, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two step-children, Paula Luttrtell and Patrick McDaniel. A private family memorial will be held at the Chapel of Devotion at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Monday, February 21, 2022 at 3:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Adult Teen Challenge of Chattanooga, 1108 W. 33rd St, Chattanooga, TN 37410.
